Customer Profile:
Midea Group is China's leading smart home and home appliance manufacturer, with products covering a full range of white goods including refrigerators, air conditioners, and washing machines. As a global leader in refrigeration equipment manufacturing, Midea maintains stringent standards for environmental protection, safety, and product quality in its production processes, continuously driving green upgrades in manufacturing operations.
Equipment: Okay Energy OH3000 Oxyhydrogen Generator

The Challenge: Pain Points of Traditional Welding Processes
In refrigerator manufacturing, copper tube welding is a critical process that determines the sealing performance, cooling efficiency, and service life of the refrigeration system. Midea previously faced the following challenges in refrigerator copper tube welding:
  • Safety Risks: Traditional high-pressure gas cylinders such as acetylene and propane pose explosion and leakage hazards during storage, transportation, and on-site operations. For a large-scale manufacturing base like Midea's, cylinder management is a persistent safety burden.
  • Unstable Welding Quality: Traditional gas flames have dispersed temperatures and wide heat-affected zones, easily causing deformation of thin-wall copper tubes and severe oxidation of weld joints, resulting in porosity, slag inclusion, and other defects that affect system sealing and increase the risk of refrigerant leakage.
  • Environmental and Cost Pressures: Traditional welding generates harmful gases such as carbon monoxide, and nitrogen oxides that pollute the environment and endanger operator health. Meanwhile, gas cylinder procurement, transportation, and storage continuously drive up comprehensive costs.
The Solution: Okay Energy OH3000 Oxyhydrogen Generator

To meet Midea's stringent requirements, Okay Energy recommended the OH3000 oxyhydrogen welding machine, which uses oxyhydrogen mixed gas (HHO) generated by water electrolysis to replace traditional fuel gas for refrigerator copper tube and copper-aluminum interface welding.

Core Advantages for Midea Refrigerator Copper Tube Welding:
  1. Precise Flame Control for Excellent Welding Quality: The oxyhydrogen flame produced by the OH3000 reaches up to 3000℃, is concentrated and non-divergent, with a heat-affected zone. This characteristic effectively prevents deformation and oxidation of thin-wall copper tubes. Weld joints are smooth, full, and fully fused.
  2. On-Demand Generation, Safe and Worry-Free: The oxyhydrogen equipment uses water and electricity as raw materials, generating gas on start-up with on-demand use and no storage, eliminating the need for high-pressure cylinders. Built-in multiple safety modules including flashback arrestors, overpressure protection, liquid level monitoring, and automatic water replenishment eliminate deflagration and leakage risks at the source.
  3. Clean and Eco-Friendly: Raw materials are only water and electricity, with combustion product being water vapor—zero emissions of carbides, sulfides, or harmful gases.
  4. Flexible Adaptability for Multiple Tube Diameters: The OH3000's adjustable gas output accommodates various copper tube specifications in refrigerator refrigeration systems without frequent equipment or accessory changes.
  5. Significant Comprehensive Cost Reduction: Eliminating costs of gas cylinder procurement, transportation, storage, and replacement, consuming only small amounts of water and electricity. Industry estimates show that oxyhydrogen welders can achieve comprehensive cost savings of 35%-60% compared to traditional acetylene welding.
Hunan Okay Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (Okay Energy) was established in 2006. It is a national high-tech enterprise and a "Specialized and Sophisticated" SME dedicated to the technological development of water-fuel oxyhydrogen generators (Brown's Gas).
The company has an independent oxyhydrogen energy research center and has obtained over 20 patents and supporting equipment certificates in the oxyhydrogen energy field. Okay Energy has mature application experience in refrigeration copper tube welding. The OH series products are widely used in refrigeration equipment manufacturers including air conditioners, refrigerators, and freezers. Products have passed CE, FCC, ISO, and other international certifications and are exported to many countries and regions worldwide.
